The above 10K race will affect access to/from your property by vehicle

Jacksons Lane will be closed in both directions from the Dorchester Road Roundabout to Chester Road from approx 0900-0945 to allow for the start of the race.

From 0900 until approx 1200, Chester Road/Woodford Road will be closed to vehicles from the junction with Jacksons Lane/Dean Lane to the footpath that runs alongside the A555 airport bound carriageway.

The A555 will be closed in both directions from the oil terminal roundabout to Macclesfield Road (A523) from 0900 until approx 1130

In all cases, traffic diversion routes will be signposted at major junctions and road closure notices will be attached to street furniture where possible.

If you need to use your vehicle early on this Sunday morning, could we suggest it is left nearby overnight on a nearby street/road you deem safe.

If you are expecting a home delivery of groceries during the above times, the drivers will not have access, so please bear this in mind when booking time slots.

The race is a mass participation UK Athletics licenced 10K road race. It is envisaged that the final number of entrants will be around 1000.

The race has attracted plenty of local runners who will potentially walk directly to the race HQ which is situated at Richmond Rovers Juniors FC on Jacksons Lane. Car parking has been secured at Hazel Grove Railway station as well as other locations in Hazel Grove
